Acupuncture is a licensed practice in 45 of the 50 United States. Kansas Acupuncturists have tried, unsuccessfully, to pass a licensing bill in Kansas since 1999. This year the Board of Healing Arts reinterpreted the Healing Arts Act to exclude Acupuncturists from practice in Kansas without a license. Now caught in a catch-22, Kansas Acupuncturists and their patients are stunned at the implications.
